Frank Newlands, MDNovant Health, Director Hospitalist Program

Frank Newlands, MD is the chief healthcare advisor for Vendormate.  He joined Vendormate in February 2005 and has been instrumental in the field of healthcare compliance and regulations.  Dr. Newlands is currently the Director of Presbyterian Inpatient Care Specialist in Matthews, NC.  He recently accepted the PRC Top Performance award for the nation’s top Hospitalist group for the second year in a row.  Dr Newlands is a graduate of the American University of the Caribbean and completed his clinical training in London, UK.  He is board certified in Internal Medicine and completed his residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA.  Dr. Newlands received his BS from North Carolina State University.

Ron HutchinsGeorgia Institute of Technology, Director of Engineering

Since joining the faculty of the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1981, Dr. Ron Hutchins has rendered invaluable service to students, the professional community, and the campus at large. Dr. Hutchins has successfully developed instructional and research laboratory facilities, as well as graduate and undergraduate course curriculum utilizing those facilities. It was in the School of Information and Computer Science that Dr. Hutchins first conducted research he would later apply toward making the Georgia Tech computer network one of the foremost university networks in the nation. The FutureNet project, which provided upgraded facilities to Georgia Tech in support of the Olympic Village, is an example of this leveraging of opportunity to bring value to the campus, both operationally and in support of the academic mission. Dr. Hutchins was also the vision behind the Wireless Corridor project at Georgia Tech. This project envisioned a corridor across the GT campus which supported wireless networking from end to end. It is recognized nationally as a model for wireless networking on a university campus.

Jim GoodlettMorris Technologies, President & Partner

Jim Goodlett is the President and Partner of Morris Technology, a backend systems automation company in the media space and a technology acquisition/management company primarily in the eCommerce space. Prior to the formation of Morris Technology, Mr. Goodlett held positions as the Director of Emerging Technologies at VeriSign, the Chief Information Architect for H.O. Systems, and the VP of Online Learning at Savannah College of Art and Design. Mr. Goodlett's business experience extends to numerous community organizations and he currently holds positions of co-President of Coastal BETA, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Savannah Science Seminar, and advises the Technology Committee for Savannah Country Day School’s project centric online learning strategy within their Long Range Planning effort.
