Vendormate to Provide Procurement Compliance Services for Piedmont Healthcare
Atlanta, GA February 15, 2007 – Vendormate, the procurement compliance expert, announced today that it has been selected by Piedmont Healthcare to provide vendor credentialing and compliance information monitoring services. Piedmont Healthcare is comprised of three hospitals, as well as a large primary care physicians group with more than 20 offices. Like most large healthcare systems, Piedmont deals with thousands of vendors who provide products and services. Government and industry groups have instituted new, stringent mandates that require hospitals to keep extensive records on vendors and their employees. As the need intensifies, hospital management faces unprecedented demands on their ability to identify, document, validate, and monitor an ever-increasing amount of vendor data including business, financial, legal, diversity, and conflicts of interest.
