Georgia Hospital Association and Georgia Hospital and Health Services Endorse Vendormate Vision Solution GHA/GHHS say Vendormate Vision the best way for hospitals to achieve due diligence, realize efficiency and properly manage vendor relationships

ATLANTA, July 24, 2006 – The Georgia Hospital Association (GHA) and its affiliate Georgia Hospital Health Services (GHHS) announced today their exclusive endorsement of Vendormate, Inc.’s (www.vendormate.com) patent-pending VisionTM solution as the best way for hospitals to achieve due diligence, realize efficiency and properly manage vendor relationships. The endorsement closely follows the Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services’ release of guidelines suggesting compliance departments maintain greater oversight of hospital operations or risk severe penalties.

Atlanta-based Vendormate provides technology and compliance-monitoring services that help companies manage vendor relationships. The company’s flagship Vision solution features vendor registration, screening, rating and cataloging, customized to satisfy internal quality standards and government mandates, including HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley and the USA Patriot Act.

“Vendormate Vision has the potential to radically transform hospital purchasing and compliance practices so hospitals can focus on their most important mission: caring for patients,” said Bill Wylie, Director of Program Services for GHHS. “By putting purchasing power back where it belongs – in the hands of the buyer – GHA member hospitals can be certain their vendors adhere to GHA and their own high-quality standards.”

According to Vendormate Founder and CEO Andy Monin, Vision was born from the need for hospitals and other highly sourced, complex businesses, to properly screen, certify and successfully manage their myriad vendors to improve operations and remain compliant.  Depending on a healthcare entity’s size and service lines, Vendormate estimates hospitals manage from 3,000 to 40,000 vendors each.

“Vendormate will change the way Ethics and Compliance is done in healthcare across the country,” said Mary Ann Beil, Vice President of Corporate Ethics, Memorial Health. Memorial Health’s University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia’s largest coastal hospital with 530 beds, is the first Georgia hospital to adopt Vendormate Vision.

“From RFPs and purchasing to insurance compliance and conflict-of-interest acknowledgments, every hospital administrator should know about Vendormate Vision,” concluded Beil.

GHA/GHHS’ exclusive endorsement is the result of a year-long due diligence process. The GHA and GHHS serve as advocates for 180 member hospitals, or roughly 98 percent of the state’s hospitals.
